Dr. Darryl L. Grant
Darryl L. Grant is the Senior Pastor of Kingdom Builders Church International in Charlotte, North Carolina. The purpose of the ministry is to equip people with a biblical foundation for personal living and world evangelism.

Pastor Grant graduated from Oral Roberts University (ORU) in Tulsa, OK. He holds a BA in Theology and History and a MA in Practical Theology. He also earned a Doctor of Ministry from ORU. In December 1991, Bishop Frank O. White ordained Pastor Grant as an elder in the Church of God in Christ.

Pastor Grant started Kingdom Builders Church International (KBCI) on October 21, 2001. It is a growing congregation located in West Charlotte. His vision for KBCI is to minister the life giving power of God's word to all people, and establish ministries and organizations of excellence that will demonstrate the love and power of God. This vision has allowed the church to reach out to the community through participation with the US Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation, a clothing closet, feeding the homeless, and holiday food giveaways. Currently, Pastor Darryl Grant serves under Prelate, Stenneth E. Powell, within the North Carolina Second Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ as the First Administrative Assistant and the Superintendent of the Charlotte Metro District. He also provides leadership and guidance to several independent pastors and churches.

On June 14, 2013, Pastor Darryl wed Lady Lawanne' in holy matrimony. Together, they rest in the Word of God knowing "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him" (I Corinthians 2:9 - KJV). Pastor Grant is a man of humility and more than the sum of his accomplishments. His love for God is apparent in his teaching and preaching but, more importantly, in how he conducts his everyday life. He rightly divides the word of truth and has the word of the Lord in his mouth. His journey has given him the heart of a worshipper and made him a man of prayer who seeks only to enhance God's reputation.

  1. Confession of Faith

    Father, in Jesus name……..

We thank you for Kingdom Builders Church International, a supernatural church, with supernatural people, doing supernatural things: called to be saints reaching Charlotte, our nation, and the world for Jesus Christ. Thank you for enlarging our territory.

We confess that you are God, and that everyone and everything was made by you and for you. We thank you for the ability to speak your word with boldness. Confirm your word with signs following.

We confess our church has apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers for the edifying of the body. We thank you for workmen in abundance: cunning men for all manner of work, with the ministry of helps in operation here.

We confess that we have our church building and that it is paid in full. We call into being those things that are not, as though they are. We thank you for all our faithful workers, for blessing our current leaders, and for raising up leaders to serve a growing church of dedicated worshippers.

We confess that we are mature persons, unified in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God. We confess that we are no longer children tossed to and fro, carried about with every wind and doctrine. We speak the truth in love. We are a growing, witnessing body of believers.

We confess that we are prospering financially; that we have more than enough to carry out your great commission, and that everyone's need is met. We thank you for health and prosperity for all our worshippers. We meet the spiritual, mental, physical and financial needs of all those who come. We thank you for wisdom in meeting those needs.

We confess that we are people of love, love that is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost. Your word is alive in us. We lift up holy hands and praise your holy name. We thank you for your presence among us.

We confess that we speak the same thing and that there is no division among us. We are perfectly joined together in the same mind.
  2. Our Beliefs

The Holy Bible is the inspired, inerrant and only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

There is One God, eternally existent and manifested in the triune Godhead: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary; that Jesus led a sinless life, was crucified, buried and raised from the dead; that Jesus ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.

That Jesus Christ is the only provision given by God for the salvation of mankind; that repentance and faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ is the only means of being cleansed from sin; that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
The redemptive work of Christ on the cross presently provides Divine Healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.
In the baptism and ministry of the Holy Spirit empowering the Christian to live Holy and to operate in the Gifts of the Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to all believers who ask for it.

The Church is the Body of Christ, consisting of all those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and the habitation of God through the Holy Spirit to fulfill the Great Commission.

That the Lord's Supper and Water baptism by immersion are ordinances that fulfill righteousness in the life of the Christian.
In the return of Jesus Christ for the church, which is the Blessed Hope; that the living will meet Jesus in the sky and the dead will be resurrected to either eternal life in heaven for the saved, or eternal damnation in hell for the unsaved.

The Kingdom of God is the righteous reign and rule of God established and operative in the affairs of mankind by the Holy Spirit.
  3. Church History

Kingdom Builders Church International is a ministry birthed out of prayer. Its genesis can be traced back to September 8, 1999 with Wednesday evening prayer meetings which began in the home of Pastor Grant. On October 30, 1999, Kingdom Builders World Outreach Church was incorporated as a non-profit corporation in the state of North Carolina. Two years later, on October 16, 2001, Kingdom Builders World Outreach Church, Inc. was renamed Kingdom Builders Church International (KBCI).

The newly-established Kingdom Builders Church International, held its first Sunday morning worship service on October 21, 2001 at James Martin Middle School. There were 72 people in attendance at this inaugural worship service. Regular Sunday morning and Wednesday evening worship services continued thereafter.

Although worship services were being held at James Martin Middle School, there was an ongoing pursuit for a church building. In the midst of this search, on June 28, 2002, an abandoned building located at 3925 Beasley Lane, formerly Beasley’s Funeral Home was identified. A proposal to lease the building was immediately submitted to the building’s owners; however, it was denied a few days later, as the owner’s desire was only to sell - not lease.

On July 10, 2002, Pastor Grant was led of the Lord to teach from Ezekiel 37: 1-14 on the subject of "Divine Order". A month later, we received a call from KBCI’s real estate agent who stated that the owner had reconsidered and was now open to leasing the aforementioned building to the church. As there were plans underway for KBCI’s first series of special services, Pastor Grant shared that the Lord would give direction prior to August 16, 2002 (the deadline for securing a meeting room reservation at the University Hilton) and that God would provide a permanent location for the church! The confirming scripture upon which Pastor Grant relied was Proverbs 21:1: "the King’s heart is in the hand of the Lord…He turns it wherever He wishes."

Pastor Grant shared a word from the Lord on September 11, 2002 stating "the worst is over and the best is yet to come." He spoke from Deuteronomy 1:1-8 which in short declared: "We had dwelt long enough at this mountain…go in and possess the land which the Lord swore to you." After steadfast prayer, numerous meetings, negotiations, and several visits to the building, this word proved prophetic because on September 12, 2002, the building’s owners faxed a letter of intent consenting to lease the building to KBCI.

On October 28, 2002, the Executive Committee signed a three-year lease, with an option to buy the new church home, situated on four acres of land, encompassing 17,000 square feet in West Charlotte and with only six days to prepare the dwelling, KBCI held its first morning worship service on November 3, 2002.

Three years later on August 18, 2005, KBCI purchased the then leased property and now stands as the proud owners of this location. Since KBCI’s inception, the Lord, in His grace and mercy, has bestowed bountiful blessings upon this ministry which has continued to grow, according to God’s Divine Order!
  4. Mission

To equip people with a biblical foundation for personal living and world evangelism.

To minister the life-giving power of God's word to all people, and establish ministries and
organizations of excellence that will demonstrate the love and power of God.

    Mission: The 4G Experience

GATHER together for worship, GROW in the Word of God, GIVE tithes and offerings, and GO make disciples for the Kingdom of God!

GATHER (Hebrews 10:25): Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

GROW (I Peter 2:2): As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

GIVE (Luke 6:38): Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

GO (Luke 14:23): And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
